How cool is it to finally see Space Harrier II through to the end? I didn't even know it had an ending! Thank you, Switch.Used to play this a lot on...you guessed it...Shenmue.

I really don't know what genre of game this falls into, but it has a lot in common with Galaxy Force II, another game much like it on the Genesis. This one is far more tolerable however, as the game mostly is on the fairer side. The visuals are usually pretty clean, which is the best for this type of game, but occasionally they ramp up the color intensity which just hurts my eyes to look at. I dunno, this probably just isn't the game for me, after about 6 minutes I felt like I had seen everything it had to offer and I was right. It ends up being extremely unmemorable and incredibly monotonous despite the short runtime.

Pleasantly surprised with this one, really wasnt expecting much. I like the look of it, running through the levels got really pretty, especially the tunnel-eqsue levels. Gameplay is nothing special but it was entertaining enough.Updated 3.5 Years Ago

This is the Genesis launch title that holds up the best. On the one hand it's a nifty technical demo of the capabilities of Sega's (then) new console (the checkerboard in high-speed sections is great!). On the other it's a pretty fun little shooter. A tad too easy, even on the highest difficulty setting, but with nice graphics, good tunes, and fun game play it's still highly recommended.Updated 10 Years Ago

Space Harrier II is a good deal for 99 cents; fans of retrogaming should check it out at such a reasonable price. It’s short, though, so don’t expect it to last terribly long unless you’re the kind of gamer that likes to replay games over and over. Also, it’s worth mentioning that like Ecco the Dolphin, SEGA’s emulator for Space Harrier II is considerably better than it’s been in the past.Updated 14 Years Ago
